A "LESS IS MORE" APPROACH TO WOMEN'S (& PELVIC) HEALTH

THE  FASTEST   WAY
TO REACH ME

Submit the form below to reach the clinic. If you prefer a call or text back, please indicate it in the box below and look for a message from (360) 620-0691. I can't wait to hear from you!

FASTEST

Your message has been sent! In other words, you just took the first (& hardest) step in your pelvic health journey, and I couldn't be happier that you're here. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response between Monday and Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM PST.

And while you're here, feel free to settle in and stay a while. I'm obsessed with all things holistic but realistic health & wellness (from the pelvic floor up...*wink wink*), and think you're gonna like what you find here at my little corner of the internet.

My patients usually find me after trying standard exercise protocols and self-help videos, feeling frustrated and frankly fed up with crossing their fingers (& legs) hoping this time will be different. They're done with guesswork and ready for a realistic, holistic approach that gets to the heart of healing their pelvic floor.

My goal is to give you the specialized, personalized care you deserve so you can walk away knowing exactly what steps to take to heal things like this:

That's where I come in to help.

That's where I come in to help.

OH HEY...I'm DR. AMANDA DAVIS

before you get any further

As a PNW girl from day one, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Physiology with a Minor in Nutrition from Central Washington University, then completed my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Puget Sound.

I spent the first decade of my career serving the local military population as an orthopedic and pelvic floor PT. In 2019, I became a Certified Pelvic Rehab Practitioner (PRPC), further solidifying my expertise in pelvic health.

With hundreds of hours in advanced training and thousands more in the clinic, I provide a comprehensive and personalized approach to pelvic health. I'm passionate about helping men & women overcome challenges such as complex pelvic pain, postpartum and post-surgical recovery, and bladder, bowel, and sexual dysfunction using a blend of evidence based and clinically backed techniques.

Outside the clinic, I extend my obsession for pelvic health through my blog and online courses, where I share a holistic and realistic approach to allllllll things women’s wellness. When not nerding out over all things pelvic floor, you'll find me spending time with my veteran & NKFR firefighter husband and mini-me daughter, tending to my growing homestead complete with garden and chickens, and staying active with CrossFit & Peloton in my garage gym, paddle boarding on the lake, and camping.

With a mission to empower patients to live healthier, stronger, more vibrant lives, I'm excited & honored to guide my patients on their journey toward pelvic health and overall wellness through clear, consistent, and confident action.

I THINK YOU'RE GONNA LIKE THIS

MY STYLE

RELATABLE

I've been where you are. Dealing with pelvic health issues isn't just my profession, it's part of my personal story – endometriosis, postpartum recovery, leakage, prolapse, miscarriage healing – which means I truly understand what you're going through.

REALISTIC

No overwhelming protocols or impossible-to-follow plans – everything I teach is real life-approved (I've been there too, remember?!), taking into account your schedule, life season, and energy levels... because healing shouldn't require a life overhaul.

RESEARCHED

Every treatment I use & technique I teach are backed by current evidence, hundreds of hours of advanced training, and over a decade of clinical experience, so you know you're getting care that's proven to work.

RELIABLE

You can count on me to show up consistently with the same level of expertise and care, whether we're working together in-person or online. I'll keep you accountable to your goals and provide the steady support you need to see real progress.

RELAXED

I believe in taking the "too much" out of TMI because pelvic health doesn't have to be awkward or clinical. I create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where you can be completely real & honest about what's going on.

REFRESHING

Finally, a pelvic health approach that ditches the shame and embraces real talk - plus, it's actually accessible and achievable, proving that expert care doesn't have to be out of reach or impossibly complicated.

RELAXED

I believe in taking the "too much" out of TMI because pelvic health doesn't have to be awkward or clinical. I create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where you can be completely real & honest about what's going on.

A: I am an out-of-network (OON) provider, which means I am not contracted with any insurance providers. When you work with me, you pay per visit or purchase a package. If your insurance has OON coverage, I can provide you a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement according to your plan. Click here to find a list of questions to ask your insurance provider about OON coverage.

You can also use your FSA or HSA to pay for appointments.

I believe very strongly in providing results-driven care based on what's best for you, not what an insurance company will pay for. With this model, I am able to give you the time, attention, and highly skilled care you deserve.

Are there other ways to work with you besides in the clinic?

Is pelvic floor PT helpful during pregnancy and/or postpartum?

Can I bring my kid(s) to my visit?

A: Yes! I am comfortable and confident treating the male pelvic floor. Having spent the first decade of my career as a pelvic floor PT for the US NAVY, I gained a lot of experience and saw great success helping male patients with pelvic, penile, & testicular pain, post-vasectomy, post-hernia repair, and post-cancer issues, as well as bladder, bowel, and erectile dysfunction.

When assessing and treating the male pelvic floor, I primarily palpate at the perineum (the space between the testicles and anus) and lower abdomen. Occasionally an intra-rectal approach is recommended, but this is highly individualized and discussed at length ahead of time.

Is pelvic floor PT helpful during pregnancy and/or postpartum?

Can I bring my kid(s) to my visit?

A: My approach to pelvic rehab is so much more than exercises, stretches, and kegels. I spend a lot of time on habit & lifestyle education. I offer internal work, both vaginal and rectal. I also do visceral (organ) manipulation to treat pain and restriction, neural mobilization to decompress the pathway of the nerves, and fascial work inside and outside the pelvis, all based on your particular restriction or pain pattern.

What can I expect at my first visit?

Are there other ways to work with you besides in the clinic?

Is pelvic floor PT helpful during pregnancy and/or postpartum?

Can I bring my kid(s) to my visit?

A: The initial evaluation starts with a review of your medical history including injuries, pregnancy/birth story, hormone & menstrual cycle experience, bowel, bladder, & sexual health, and anything else you feel is important. There is plenty of time to get to know you as a person and your wellness goals.

Then we move on to a general musculoskeletal exam where I assess your body's alignment, strength, range of motion, and flexibility.

Next, I typically perform an external & internal pelvic exam (but please read that word typical...just because it's right for a majority of my patients doesn't mean it's right for you - you are always in control in my clinic.)

An external pelvic exam includes assessing the health of your genital tissue, watching your pelvic floor muscles move to determine your coordination & control, then palpation of the pelvic muscles to determine muscle tension.

The internal pelvic exam does not involve a speculum or stirrups. I insert one gloved finger with water-based lubricant into the vagina (or the rectum when indicated) to further evaluate pelvic floor tone and strength.

Feel free to wear whatever you like to your first visit. Comfortable clothes that you can move in can be helpful for the first part of the appointment but are not necessary.

I also have a growing library of online courses filled with the same information you would get in the clinic but with a more DIY approach. I believe in making pelvic health accessible & achievable and love the idea of meeting you exactly where you are.

A: 10000000%. I can help with pains and pelvic health concerns commonly experienced during pregnancy. I also educate all my pregnant patients on helpful laboring positions, pushing techniques, and easy ways to start healing their pelvic floor the day they give birth. Your partner and/or doula are more than welcome to join you during these appointments.

After the 6-week postpartum check-up, I recommend initiating pelvic rehab to optimize postpartum healing. Incontinence, diastasis, and pain with sex (to name a few) are common after having a baby...but *not* normal.

I recommend taking a peek at the packages I offer as many of them are created specifically for pregnant & postpartum patients.
