well hey there!
It’s 4 AM, my bluelight glasses are on, and I’m sippin’ my homemade egg yolk cappuccino (yes, I’m a crunchy PNW coffee snob) while my rescue pup and cat fight my computer for a spot on my lap. These quiet morning moments, before my daughter wakes up, my firefighter husband walks through the door, and the day gets goin’, are when I’m working on what I’m most passionate about – helping women like you prioritize & improve their pelvic health.
If you’ve Googled “what the heck is the pelvic floor and how the bleep do I fix mine!?” and are looking for actionable advice with real results on the other side (i.e. not just another set of kegels…*eye roll*), then you’re the woman I skip the snooze button for, and you’re in exactly the right place.
Want to know what pulls me out of bed bright and early? Taking the “too much” out of TMI. Shining light on the difference between common and normal. Turning simple steps into life-changing solutions. Making health intuitive and intentional. Helping women feel clear, confident, and in control of their bodies (and…um…bladders ;)).
In all honesty, I started learning about pelvic health because the massage elective in PT school was full. But when I saw the embarrassment, frustration, stress, and overwhelm bladder, bowel, and sexual pain & dysfunction brought women (& then cracked the code on how to fix it), I couldn’t keep it to myself. Then experiencing my own challenges with endometriosis, postpartum healing, and miscarriage, I knew there had to be a better way.
That’s why I’m dedicated to making pelvic health accessible, achievable, affordable, and dare I say it – even enjoyable.
When I’m not supporting women in the clinic or online, you’ll find me cooking up another new Pinterest recipe, sneaking out for a little self-care sauna time, working on our homestead complete with garden & chickens, doing sourdough stretch-and-folds every half hour, and bringing another DIY house project to life.
I might be a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Certified Pelvic Rehab Practitioner (PRPC), but it’s my personal experiences and experimenter’s mindset combined with the clinical expertise that make my approach unique.
If you want the tried-and-true tips & treatments & techniques, but prefer it to feel like you’re voice-texting your bestie, then put in your ear buds, friend, because podcast-length messages and talking about all things “taboo” like it’s a recap of the latest Hollywood goss just so happen to be my specialty.
In this space there’s no shame or judgment in where you’re starting, only “why didn’t I do this sooner!?” feels. Your journey to better pelvic health can begin right now, just scroll a little further to choose the path that feels right for you.
Better pelvic health is possible, and I'm here to show you how. From the brain of a clinician & heart of a fellow woman who’s been [there] too…you’re not alone in this anymore.
As a busy & ambitious woman who’s been there too, I get it... you don’t need another complicated or time-consuming routine to add to your plate. My “less is more” approach to pelvic health (& general wellness, for that matter) means I only subscribe to simple & sustainable solutions, the kind that *actually* fit into real life and have lasting results.
Remember the game desert island? Well if you're wondering what ride-or-die items a crunchy pelvic rehab therapist would throw in her life boat, you're about to find out! From the items I recommend in the clinic to my personal favorites...if you crave a "less is more" approach to health & life, you're gonna love what I'm sharing.
